Common questions
What does "EV" mean?
Expected value: the average amount a hold returns over every possible draw. EV Assassin works it out exactly for all 32 ways to hold your five cards, and calls the hold with the highest value best.
I made the best hold and still lost. Why does the game say I played perfectly?
Because you did. The grade measures your decision, not the draw. A perfect hold can lose and a poor one can hit a royal. EV Assassin keeps skill and luck apart.
Why do some games say "unavailable"?
A machine is playable only once its math has passed certification against a separate reference. Until then it stays visible but unavailable, so you never train on guesses.
Can I enter a paytable I found in a casino?
Yes. In the Paytable Lab you can enter a custom table for a supported game and get exact analysis right away. Custom tables are labeled as custom and aren't used in standard challenges.
Do I need an account?
No. Everything works offline without signing in except ranked online challenges. For those, sign in with Google, Apple or Steam.
How many ranked attempts do I get?
One per account for each ranked challenge, on all your devices. If you're interrupted you can resume the same attempt, even offline, as long as you upload it before the deadline. After that, replays are unlimited practice.
How do I move my progress to another device?
In the Profile tab, open Backup and create a backup file. Copy it to your other device and restore it there. The game asks you to confirm before it replaces anything on the new device.
Can I win real money?
No. Credits are simulated and have no cash value. There are no deposits, cash-outs or paid refills. If you run out of credits, a free refill is always available.
How do I delete my data?

Play responsibly
EV Assassin is a training game. Good strategy lowers the house edge but rarely removes it, and no strategy changes the luck of the draw. If gambling is causing you problems, in the US you can call or text the National Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-800-GAMBLER.
