Privacy Policy

EV Assassin and this website are operated by GlassHill Ventures LLC, a Washington limited liability company doing business as MiddenSoft ("we", "us" or "our"). This policy covers the EV Assassin app and this website.

In short: you can play EV Assassin without an account, and your game data stays on your device. If you choose to compete on online leaderboards, we store a small amount of account and challenge data so we can verify and rank your results. We don't sell your data, show ads or track you across other apps or sites.

Playing without an account

Training, free play, the casino tour, lessons, history and local challenges all work offline without signing in. Your profile (progress, mastery, hand history, favorites and settings) is stored only on your device. We never receive it.

A profile backup file is created only when you choose to make one, and it goes where you choose to save it. It never leaves your control through us.

Online leaderboards (optional)

To enter ranked challenges, you sign in with Google, Apple or Steam. When you do, we store:

Provider identifiers: the stable account ID your sign-in provider issues to our app (for example a Google account ID or SteamID). We use it only to recognize you on your next sign-in and to link providers you choose to connect. We don't request or store your email address, contacts or friends list.
Display name: a name you choose, shown publicly on leaderboards. It is never taken from your provider profile.
Challenge records: the challenges you register for, the hold decisions in each ranked attempt, and the score, rank and timing information our server computes from them.
Sign-in sessions: short-lived security tokens that keep you signed in and protect your account. Sign-in credentials are never included in your game profile or its backups.

Leaderboards publicly show your display name, a public player ID and your verified results. Your provider identifiers are never public.

Like most online services, our servers also keep routine technical logs (such as IP address, request time and errors) to operate the service, prevent abuse and fix problems. We keep these for no longer than we need them for those purposes.

What we don't do

No advertising, ad identifiers or ad networks.
No sale or sharing of personal data for advertising.
No real-money gambling, deposits or payments. EV Assassin's credits are simulated and have no cash value.
No access to your location, contacts, photos or microphone.

Service providers

Google, Apple and Valve (Steam) handle sign-in under their own privacy policies. Our servers and this website are hosted by DigitalOcean. We share data with these providers only as needed to run the service.

This website

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking scripts. Its fonts and images are served from this site. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operations.

Deleting your data

On your device: uninstalling EV Assassin, or clearing its app data, removes your local profile. Any backup files you made remain wherever you saved them.
Your online account: email [email protected] with the subject "EV Assassin account deletion" and your display name. We'll ask you to sign in or otherwise confirm the account is yours. We then delete your account, linked provider identifiers and leaderboard entries within 30 days. We keep only what the law requires.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, or to object to how we use it. To make a request, email [email protected]. We'll respond within the time the law requires.

Children

EV Assassin is a casino-style game intended for adults and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security and retention

We use encrypted connections, verify every sign-in with its provider, and limit access to our systems. We keep account and leaderboard data while your account exists, and delete it when you ask us to.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If a change is significant, we'll say so in the app or on this site.
